Making it safe: what the club will do

Hygiene

  • We will undertake a deep cleaning of the facilities prior to re-opening
  • We will now have cleaning carried out twice weekly, paying particular attention to door handles and horizontal surfaces
  • We will provide soap and hand sanitiser in all areas that are open for use.
  • We will provide soap for cleaning blade handles
  • We will provide paper towels for drying hands and surfaces and bins for their disposal

Systems

  • We will post clear signage throughout the facility. Please abide by the instructions
  • We will re-space ergs in the gym so they are a safe distance apart
  • We will remove the towels ordinarily used to dry boats. These represent a potential transmission vector

Staying safe: what you need to do

General

  • Minimise contact. Do not carry blades and equipment for other crews
  • Observe social distancing –in the showers and changing rooms, in the shed, in the gym on pontoons.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly
  • Clean all equipment after use.
  • No hugging. No kissing. No shaking hands.

Before

  • Bring your own towels and water bottles. Do not share.
  • We recommend that you fill water bottles before you set off. You may refill your water bottle using the boatshed sinks, but not from the kitchen. Do not use cups and glassware in the kitchen. Do not access the fridge.
  • Do not bring or consume food on the premises

On arrival

  • Register on CHECKIN-19 immediately each time you arrive to row
  • Wash your hands thoroughly as soon as you enter the club.

Equipment

  • Enter crews, times and boats in the logbook as normal.
Checkin-19 is an additional measure, not a replacement measure
  • Wash and dry the boat lights after use
  • Wash all blades before and after use.
  • Wash boats with soapy water
  • Clean any equipment you use in the gym before and after using
  • If you wish to rest between sets while using the gym, do so in the gym, not the lounge.

After

  • We recommend that you wash your hands before leaving
  • When you have finished your row or completed your workout please leave
  • Sign out from CHECKIN-19.
