Auckland Rowing Club Under Level One
No restrictions on numbers or physical distancing.
Welcome back everyone to a fully functioning rowing club. With the move to Level One day-to-day rowing, both organised and casual, can take place without restrictions on numbers or physical distancing. In other words, the club is now operating as it was pre-lockdown.
As always, follow the government’s advice:
- If you’re sick, stay home
- Wash your hands
- Sneeze or cough into your elbow
- Disinfect surfaces
- Keep track of where you’ve been.
- Stay vigilant.
While contact tracing is not mandatory, it’s still recommended by Rowing NZ. To make this simpler we will cease using the CHECKIN-19 app on Friday 12 June and will adopt the Government’s NZ COVID Tracer app, available from the App Store and Google Play. If you wish to check-in you will simply scan a QR code. You don’t need to check out.
Returning to normal also means the Club has now started its winter programmes: on Saturdays and Sundays between 7am-10am. rowing is reserved for Masters and Club programmes. Casual rowing can take place after 10am.
Those planning to organise or attend events and regattas should be aware the new COVID CODE for the Event Sector released from Sport NZ. to assist with any planning for holding regattas and the Season Transition Guidelines.
Finally, return to normal also means we can now host important events. So please keep the following dates free:
Saturday July 4, ARC Prizegiving, 6:00 pm
Sunday July 26, ARC Annual Meeting and christening of boats, 10:00am
Thank you for your patience.
